Obituary of Charles R. Williams

Charles R. Williams, 57, a lifelong resident of Deansboro, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born December 30, 1953 in Utica, to Charles Austin and Helen Holmes Williams. He grew up in Deansboro and graduated from Waterville Central School and received a bachelor's degree from SUNY Morrisville. On September 6, 1975 he was married to Kathleen Studdard until her death on December 2, 1990. He married Jacalyn Oltmann on July 18, 1992. The couple operated JJ Precision Tooling together. Charlie also worked at Monarch Chemicals and was a school bus driver at Waterville Central School. He was a member of the Living Waters Parish - Deansboro United Methodist Church, past member of Barton Hose Co. and life member of CNY Snow Travelers. Charlie was a hotrod and street rod enthusiast. He enjoyed going to the Syracuse Nationals and made many good friends at the car shows over the years. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jacalyn; his children James and Elizabeth Mascho of Webster, Wendy Oltmann of Webster and Chad Oltmann of Greece; six grandchildren, Brittany Oltmann, Michael Oltmann, Alexandra Brady, Joseph Mascho, Samuel Mascho and Anna Mascho; two sisters, a brother and their spouses, Jeannette and Larry Schlernitzauer of Alabama, Fred and Joyce Williams of Oriskany Falls and Mary Lou and Robert Buschor of Deansboro; a sister-in-law, Sheila Williams of Waterville; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends. He was also predeceased by his parents and a brother, Elisher Williams. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. We welcome all to arrive in their hotrods to send Charlie off in style. Please consider donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
