Obituary of Margaret H. Collins

Margaret H. Collins NC, formerly of Clinton Margaret H. Collins, 92, of 120 White Heron Lane, Cape Carteret, NC, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 peacefully at her daughter's home. Margaret was born in Utica on August 16, 1919, the daughter of Karl and Emma Zech Haslauer. She received her education in Stockbridge, NY. On December 11, 1941, she married Henry L. Collins. The couple resided in Bridgewater, Waterville and Clinton NY. Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Edward Auld, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Henry L. Collins Jr. and Pamela, NC; four grandchildren, Kelly & Thorpe Lichtenberg, VA, Edward & Nancy Auld, MD, Christopher & Andrea Collins, VA, and Craig & Edie Collins, VA; and eleven great-grand children; also survived by relatives and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Henry L. Collins Sr.; three sisters, Emma Schmidt, Julia Hinman and Anna Wilson, and three brothers, Ernest, Joseph and her twin brother Richard Haslauer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10 AM at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College Street, Clinton. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Patrick's cemetery, Oneida. Those so desiring, please consider donations to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502-5953 in Margaret's memory.
