Obituary of Robert R. Littrel

Robert R. Littrel, 66, of Waterville, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 7, 1945 and raised by Louis and Helen Abdoo. He attended Clinton Central School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was married to Katharine Dawes on November 16, 1968 and then married Virginia Turk with whom he had his two children. On July 19, 1991 he and Kathy were reunited in marriage. Bob retired as a foreman from Special Metals in 2007 after 41 years of service. He was a Past Master of the Clinton-Hampton Masonic Lodge #347 F.A.M. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling for many years. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his two children and their spouses, Robert L. and Jeanine Littrel of Bethesda, MD and Melinda and David Green of Greenville, NC; two grandchildren, Jillian and Sebastian Green; his sister, Luellen Abdoo of New York City; his mother-in-law Eleanor Dawes of Clinton; Virginia Littrel of Clinton and many special family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Abdoo, his mother Helen Abdoo, brother, Fred Abdoo and sister, Karla Latham. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday, September 30, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Deansboro Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 5-8pm. Clinton-Hampton Lodge #347 F.A.M. will conduct Masonic Services Thursday evening at 7:30pm.
