Obituary of Rock A. DiPierro

Rock A. DiPierro, 58, of N. Utica, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. He was born on September 28, 1952 in Utica to Nicholas and Evelyn Schneider DiPierro. Rock proudly served in the US Army. On June 8, 1979 he married Felicia Gorman at St. Peter's Church. Rock retired from Rome Labs after many years of service. His joys in life included riding his Harley-Davidson, metal detecting, coaching youth sports and golfing with his brothers. The time he spent with his family and friends was the best of all. He is survived by his loving wife, Felicia; his mother, Evelyn DiPierro of N. Utica; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda & Shaun DesMarais of Yorkville and Casey & Ryan Spaziani of Cary, NC; his beloved granddaughter, Skylar; his three sisters, two brothers and their spouses, Marie & Mike Cerminaro of N. Utica, Mike & Karen DiPierro of Deerfield, Nick & Fran DiPierro of Little Falls, Katie & Fran Roberts of N. Utica and Rosann & Randy White of Holly Springs, NC; his mother-in-law, Wanda Gorman; sisters-in-law, Kim & Greg Voss of Yorkville and Laurie Garland of Cape Coral, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton with Fr. Joe Zareski officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday from 11am until the time of the service.
