Obituary of Betty Jane Wardman

Betty J. Wardman, 88, of Clark Mills Road, went into the hands of The Lord on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Harding Nursing Home. She was born August 2, 1923 in Whitestown, the daughter of Williard E. and Maria Wattenbe Marsh. Betty attended Clark Mills and Clinton Schools. In 1958 she married Kenneth "Ouch" Wardman at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The couple resided in Clark Mills for many years. Ken died on March 14, 2008. Betty attended St. Mark's Espicopal Church and was an active member of the Clark Mills American Legion Post #26 Auxiliary. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Carol Roberts of Clinton and Harry and Linda Roberts of Clark Mills; seven grandchildren, Shannon Roberts, Amberley Roberts, Karen and Dennis Moore, Michael and Missy Roberts, Kristie and Jared Acee, Michael and Christine Golden and Jennifer and Bill Burnett; ten great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Dalton, Harry, Will, Kenny, Olivia, Grace, Brianna, Haley and Will; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Maryanne Marsh of Deansboro; several nieces and nephews; her cousins, Joan and Pete Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Marcellus and Skip and Mel Wattenbe. She was also predeceased by a grandson Bradley Golden. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Harding Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Betty during her stay.
