Obituary of Douglas Ertel

Douglas Ertel Clinton Douglas Ertel, 59, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born the son, of the late George and Emily Peck Ertel on May 12, 1952 in Cooperstown. Douglas enjoyed spending time with the staff at his residence. He loved chocolate, humor, and had two favorite television shows, I Love Lucy and The Three Stooges. Douglas is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and John Zogby, New Hartford; three nephews and a spouse, Jonathan and Victoria, Lake Luzern, NY, Benjamin, NYC, and Jeremy Zogby, New Hartford; also survived by family in CT. He was predeceased by his parents and his grandparents, Howard and Amelia Ertel. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Clinton at 12:00 Noon. Arrangements made by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton.
