Janet T. "Judy" Dzwonkas, 79, of Brantingham Lake, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born at home in Whitesboro on April 3, 1930, a daughter of Albert and Helen Kistner Armstrong. Judy graduated from Westmoreland Central School. On June 2, 1951 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, she was united in marriage to Anthony F. Dzwonkas. For 22 years she worked at Yorkville Brake as a bookkeeper. Judy was a member of St. Mary's Church in Glenfield, but grew up in the parish of Annunciation, as did her family. She was a charter member and past president of Westmoreland Fire Dept Auxiliary, longtime Hospice volunteer in Lewis County and was a member of the Clark Mills American Legion Post 26 Ladies Auxiliary. Fondly known as the "Pie Lady", Judy would give away her lovingly made goods. Always helping others, she made many friends along the way, even in her last days. She is survived by her husband, Tony; her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Jim Acee of Glenmoore, PA; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Brenda Dzwonkas of Canton, MI; her four beloved grandchildren, Jim and Joey Acee and Nathan and Hannah Dzwonkas; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sandra Armstrong of Brantingham Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Kenneth and Theodore Armstrong and Dorothy Peeling. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Westmoreland Cemetery. Friends are invited to call (today) Friday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St., Clinton. Clark Mills American Legion Post 26 Auxiliary will conduct services at 6:30 this evening. Please consider donations in Judy's memory to Lewis County Hospice, PO Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
