Olive June Brown Bishop, 84, a life-long resident of Clark Mills and Westmoreland, passed away on May 22, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford. She was born the daughter of the late Jay and Emma Stout Brown on October 29, 1926 in Utica. June was educated in Clark Mills. She married Terence Bishop on June 23, 1945 in Clark Mills. Terence passed away on June 14, 1983. June worked at Meele's and Strobino's Glove Factory. She was an active member of the Church of the Annunciation as well as the Kirkland Seniors. June also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Clark Mills American Legion and the Westmoreland Home Bureau. She was an avid reader and loved to sew and make teddy bears. June was a devoted grandmother who looked forward to spending time with her grandkids. She had many wonderful friends and until recently was the organizer of card games and social activities to keep her friends together. June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Bishop and Ron Burris of Lee Center; two grandchildren, Katrina Ann and V. Eric Pirillo; two nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and William Stout. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 5:00PM at the Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2:00PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery on Thursday at 10:00AM. A special thank you is extended to all of her wonderful friends for their support and kindness.
