Obituary of Nancy Sango

Nancy Sango, age 86, passed away at Harding Nursing Home on May 20th 2011, after a long illness. Nancy was born February 7, 1925, in West Winfield, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Ann Mary Jones Roberts. On October 20, 1945, in West Winfield, she married Nicholas Sango, a union of 49 years, which were mostly spent in Deansboro, NY, and in later years, as snowbirds, residing in Venice, FL, and Old Forge, NY. Nancy was a long time member of the Deansboro United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School and was active with Women's Fellowship. She was also an active member of the North Port, FL United Church of Christ, and a Life Member of the St. David's Society of Utica, NY. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Nick, a son Donald, brothers, Hugh and Robert, and a sister, Barbara. She leaves a son Douglas Sango, a daughter and son in law, Suellen and Mark Jones, twin grand daughters, Marlo and Nicole Sango, a grandson Jesse Brookstein, two sisters in law, Helen Roberts and Ruth Sango, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, in the US and Wales. Nancy's burial will be Saturday, May 28th at 2:30pm at the Deansboro Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 3pm at the Deansboro United Church of Christ. After the service, a reception will be held at the church. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Deansboro Congregational Church or the Deansboro Cemetery Association.
