Obituary of Eugene P. Shevlin

Eugene P. Shevlin, 72, of French Road, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
He was born September 3, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to Phillip and Celia Gullo Shevlin. Gene grew up in Long Island and attended MVCC and SUNYIT colleges. On November 26, 1960 he married Adrienne Mayhew in Smithtown, NY. Gene retired from Utica State Hospital after many years of service. He was a member of Church of the Annunciation and AA - where he was very proud of his many years of volunteer work with the organization.
He is survived by his wife Adrienne; his brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Shirley Shevlin of Carlisle, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Shevlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10:30am at Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday from 4-7pm
at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton.
