Obituary of Suzanne G. Riffle

Suzanne G. Riffle Clinton Suzanne Gregg Riffle, who was born October 23, 1929, died peacefully on April 18, 2011 with her family surrounding her. Formerly of Clinton, she resided most recently at the Sitrin Rehab Facility. She is survived by her children: Roberta Paravati, Gregg Riffle and his wife Anne, Martha Riffle, Scott Riffle and his wife Renee along with her grandchildren: Brian Paravati, Christopher (CJ) Paravati, Allison Paravati, Megan Riffle Riley and her husband Andy, Jack (JB) Riffle, Katherine Riffle, Ryan Butler, Emilie Butler, Nathan Riffle, Garrett Riffle, Lynsey Riffle, and Kiahna Riffle all mourn her passing. She also leaves her sister, Martha Rumsey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Jack B. Riffle, her daughter-in-law, Laurie S. Riffle, and her parents, Charlotte and Herbert Worboys and her father, Robert A. Gregg. She will be remembered for her love of family and her strong determination and dignity with which she handled everything she encountered in life. At her request, there will be no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10:00AM at the Hamilton College Chapel, Clinton, NY. Suzanne will be laid to rest next to her husband at Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements made by the Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY, 13323. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sitrin Rehab Facility, the nurses at St. Luke's ICU and a special thank you to Dr. Hammond for his care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way, 270 Genesee Street Utica, NY 13502.
