Obituary of Mary Ann O'Neil

Mary Ann O'Neil Clinton Mary Ann O'Neil, 72, of Kellogg St., passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born October 26, 1938 in Utica to the late George and Alice Reid Caister and graduated from Utica Catholic Academy. Mary Ann worked as a bookkeeper at Matts Brewery before her marriage to Ronald O'Neil on May 17, 1958. Her favorite work was at home as a mother. She was devoted to her family and loved to take care of them. After her children were grown she worked at Hamilton College and as a home health care provider. Her husband called her a "professional shopper" because she was always buying gifts for her children and grandchildren for every holiday and occasion. She had been a member of the Home Bureau and St. Mary's Church. She is survived by her husband Ron; her five children and their spouses, Ronnie and Vallena O'Neil of Florida, Steve and Mary O'Neil of New York City, Deanne and Rich Luterman of Farmington Hills, MI, Dave and Jenn O'Neil of Albany and Michael and Melanie O'Neil of Clinton; six grandchildren, Joey, Monique, Kelsey, Kevin, Natalie, Julia and Stephanie; a sister Alice LaMore; several nieces and nephews and her little Yorkie Teddy. She was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Irene Caister and George and Eileen Caister, a brother-in-law Don LaMore and her Yorkie Redgie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 9:30am at St. Mary's Church, Marvin St., Clinton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Monday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Clinton Fire Dept, North Park Row, Clinton, NY 13323.
