Donald D. Clark Whitesboro Donald D. Clark, 88, formerly of Whitesboro, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Katherine Luther Home. He was born in Clark Mills on November 10, 1922, a son of Clifford and Ona Mae Sloper Clark. On November 10, 1942 he was married to Mary Lasher. Don served his country in the US Army during World War II. He retired from the Doeskin Paper Mill in Clayville after 25 years. Don was a member of the New Hartford American Legion Post #1376. He was an avid NY Yankees and Syracuse Orangemen fan and also enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary of New Hartford; four children and their spouses, Gary Clark Of New Hartford, Duane Clark of Clark Mills, Donna and John Boshart of New Hartford and Glen and Diana Clark of Ilion; seven grandchildren, Gary, Carrie, Carolyn, Dale, Hank, Thomas and Katherine; many great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother, Betty Clark of Clinton, Bob "Butch" Clark of Clinton and June Clark of Rome. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford and Grant. Funeral services will be held at 10am Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Burial with military honors will be in the Spring at Kirkland Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Monday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. New Hartford American Legion Post #1376 will conduct services Monday evening at 6:30pm. The family thanks Jill McDonald, NP and the nurses and caregivers of the Saul Unit for the wonderful care given to Don.
