Obituary of Joanne McNamara

Joanne McNamara, 64, of Clinton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 in North Carolina.
She was born in Johnson City, NY on April 1, 1946, the daughter of Hugh and Helen Kushner Hogan. Joanne graduated from Owego Free Academy and received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Buffalo and advanced degrees from Syracuse University and SUNY Cortland. She taught English for 25 years at Clinton Central School.
She is survived by her daughter Karina Snyder of Charlotte, NC; her son Jim McNamara of Charlotte, NC; her father, Hugh G. Hogan of Owego, NY; her brother Craig Hogan of Willseyville, NY and many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Marvin St., Clinton. Friends are invited to call Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc, 35 College St, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Owego on Wednesday.
