Obituary of Dulcie White
Dulcie M. White, 66, of Westmoreland, has entered into eternal life with our God in heaven. She was a daughter of Carl Dawes and Mary Bryden Dawes. Following graduation from high school, Dulcie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and most recently was a dedicated employee at Community Wellness Partners. She was united in marriage to Terry White with whom she shared a wonderful life filled with love and devotion.
Dulcie was the center of her family; her kind and loving heart and open mind was a source of comfort to not only her husband and children but all those fortunate enough to have known her. She was a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a pick me up for anyone who needed it. Her compassionate and gentle spirit served her well in her many years as a nurse and allowed her to provide comfort and rapport with her patients. Most of all it made her the most wonderful mother to her children. She was a safe place to land and always had a solution to any problem, big or small; anytime Dulcie was needed, she made herself available. This constant support will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Dulcie had the beautiful smile and laugh; her happiness was evident in everything that she did. She truly was a bright light in this world. She was an exceptional cook and baker and always made delicious meals. She especially loved to share her cookies with friends and loved ones. Dulcie was very thoughtful; she always took great consideration into purchasing heartfelt gifts for her friends and family. She loved the holidays and made them all special. She had a knack for decorating and of course making meals for all to enjoy.
Dulcie was taken from us much too soon; her loss is tremendous but there is comfort in knowing she is resting in God’s loving arms and that she left behind an amazing legacy of kindness, compassion, and love.
Dulcie is survived by her husband Terry White, a daughter and two sons, three brothers and two sisters, four beloved grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Mary Dawes; sisters Joanne and Beverly, and infant sister Patty.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2-3 PM at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton. A celebration of life will take place immediately following the calling hours.
You will be in our hearts today, tomorrow, and forever. So goodbye for now, our dear Dulcie. We will see you on the other side, and until then, know that you are loved and will forever be a part of our lives.
