Jan. My sweet and caring friend. Jan’s life revolved around her family. They came first before anything. The many talks we had while working together were always about Carmen, Elaine and Timmy. How she talked about each of them showed how much she cherished them. When she became a grandmother she would show pictures of Timmy at every stage of him growing up and would just laugh telling such cute stories of him and what he used to say. Her highlight of her day was picking him up from school and spending time with him. She was so proud of her daughter Elaine and would smile just saying her name. Her love for her husband Carmen was like no other. She used to tell me how lucky she was to have him as her husband. Jan was such a caring and compassionate person and I will miss her very much. Love you friend.

Carmen and Elaine, I can't believe I'm leaving a tribute to my good friend. Oh wow, when I think of Jan I can say we brought out the best and worst of each other. Her brutal honesty was the foundation of our friendship. I was blessed to be in her inner circle of friends. We could go long periods of time not seeing each other, but when we did come into contact, she would make sure I knew it was my fault. Carm, Elaine and Timmy, your wife, mom and grandma has left an indelible mark on anyone who knew her. To say she will be missed is a huge understatement. A favorite scripture of mine is at Psalm 34:18 which says, "God is close to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." I have found that my relationship with God greatly helps me to cope in sad times like this. I will pray that your family has the peace of God to help you in the days ahead. With my deepest sympathies.

So very sorry for your loss. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember the fun times shared with Jan at Utica National. And especially her sense of humor. We had a ball at the Baskets and Brunch party we attended. And how excited she was when she was going to be a Grama and all the cute stories she told us about her Timmy. She was so proud of him.
She will be missed. God Bless her and may God give you the strength to get through this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies go out to her wonderful family. Even though we haven’t spent any quality time together in decades, I will always remember our friendship in our youth and how much fun we used to have! The last time I saw her, she still had her great sense of humor and the best laugh.
May she Rest in Peace.
Love,
Sherry Tulloch Mead
