Obituary of Patricia E. Carrier

Patricia Carrier, 89 passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023 in Homosassa, Florida.  

  She was born on November 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Daniel and Barbara (Frey) Walsh. She attended Utica Catholic Academy. Upon finishing school, she worked at Hayes Bank, then met and married Donald Carrier. The couple owned and operated Don Carrier Surge together for many years until his passing in 1978. 

A long-time resident of Clinton, New York, Pat loved playing golf and was a long-standing member of the Skenandoa Country Club (Clinton); she was a very skilled and avid ruby level bridge player and was a member of the Mohawk Valley Bridge Association. She regularly attended St. Mary’s in Clinton and her faith was very important to her.  

She is survived by her loving grandchildren and their families. Kimberly Pannes, Robert (Nakeima) Dorr, Adam (Danielle) Prue, Katie (Mike) Vroom, Alex (Kristen) Prue, Megan Prue & James Prue. She also was great-grandmother to eight children. She was predeceased by her husband Don, and her three children: Debbie Prue, Michael and David Carrier.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Mary’s Church, Marvin St., Clinton NY. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Clinton.
