William Howard, 93, of Old Forge passed away peacefully on February 2, 2014, with his daughter by his side.
He was born on February 15, 1920 in Utica, NY, the son of the late Burt and Ann (Fitzpatrick) Howard. William was a successful small business owner, operating both Howard Business Machines and the Crest Motel in Remsen, NY. He was one of the original members of the Oneida County Sheriff Posse Unit and was a member of the Town of Trenton Zoning Board.
He is preceded in death by his late wives, Alfreda and Donna Howard.
He is survived by his daughter Lynne Michael and her husband Christopher; two grandchildren, Ryan and Mackenzie Michael.
There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service for William will be held in the spring at St. John's Cemetery in Camden, NY
