Obituary of Harry W. Goodson

Harry W. Goodson, Sr, of West Hill Road, Deansboro, NY, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 96.

Harry was born December 7, 1926, in Deansboro, the son of Harry G. and Ella R. Goodson. A life-long resident of Deansboro, he received his education in Deansboro and Waterville schools.  He was a World War II Army Veteran.

On May 14, 1949, in St. Francis de Sales Church in Utica, he was united in marriage with Therese Powers.  Therese passed away February 22, 1994.

Harry is survived by two sons, Jon Martin and Mark Emery; a grandson Daniel Mark (Shari) Goodson of FL; two granddaughters, Brienne Victoria Goodson-Beck and husband Charles Beck of Massachusetts and Paige Therese Goodson of New York City.  Harry was eagerly expecting two great-grandchildren – one in January and one in February.  Harry was predeceased by his son Harry Jr; four sisters, Louise Wilson, Ruth Kuchler, Lois Cole and Mary Lloyd and their spouses.

There will be no calling hours.  There will be a graveside service Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11am at the Deansboro Cemetery.  Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service.
