Obituary of Beverly J. Lemponen

Beverly Lemponen, 86, of Remsen, NY, and a longtime resident of Clinton, NY, passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 3, 2023.

She was born in Scranton, PA on January 16, 1937, daughter of Ralph and Margaret Davison. She graduated from Taylor High school in 1954. She then went on to marry Waldemar “Wally” Lemponen on January 22, 1958, and they were married for 59 beautiful years. Beverly enjoyed reading, bird watching, gardening, crocheting, leisurely car rides, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She also was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed NASCAR and football the most. Beverly was a lifelong member of the Clark Mills American Legion, Post #26 where many friends were made, and good times were had.

Beverly is survived by her two daughters and son in-laws; Rebecca and Scott Maszczak of Ormond Beach, FL, Wendy and Mark Maida of Remsen, NY. Her 7 grandchildren; Megan (and husband Michael) Elliott, Melanie Maszczak, Eric Maszczak (Stephanie), Kyle Maszczak and Morgan Maszczak. Sara (and husband Scott) Stumpf and Nicolas Maida (Chelsea). Great grandchildren; Elizabeth, Thomas and Evelyn. Nieces and a nephew. Also, a one-of-a-kind friend and former neighbor Elly Smith, who the family is very grateful for. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Satterlee, in 2016 and husband Waldemar Lemponen, in 2017. She will be greatly missed by all.

Keeping with Beverly’s wishes, friends and family are welcomed to attend a graveside ceremony for Bev and Wally on Sept. 23, 2023 11:00AM at The Westmoreland Cemetery 7466 E Main St. Westmoreland, NY 13490.
