Obituary of Candace Lare Baird

Candace E. Baird, 65, of West Hines Ave, Sherrill, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Oneida Health Care.
She was born July 21, 1943 in Oneonta, to the late Henry and Evelyn Davenport Lare. Candace graduated from West Laurens High School. She married Alan G. Baird, Jr. in West Oneonta on October 17, 1964. The couple resided in Clinton for many years. Candace was employed for 18 years at Met Life, Utica, retiring in 1998. Alan passed away on April 19, 2006. Candace then resided in Sherrill for the past year.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alan G. III and Traci Baird of Vernon; grandchildren, Jessica and Alex; sister and brother-in-law Noralie and David Herring of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Monday, December 8, 2008 at 6:00 PM at Owens-Pavlot Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 till 6:00 PM. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
