Obituary of Jon Martin Goodson

Jon Martin Goodson, 74, passed away August 15, 2026.  

He was born in Utica on August 11, 1952, a son of Harry Willliam and Therese (Powers) Goodson.  Jon was a graduate of Waterville Central School and MVCC. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a mason, traveling throughout New York State. 

Jon is survived by his brother Mark Goodson; nephews and nieces, Daniel and Shari Goodson, Brienne and Charles Goodson Beck, and Paige Goodson; and two great nieces and a great nephew, Lila, Odette and Meyer.  He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Harry William Goodson, Jr.  

Services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Deansboro Cemetery.  Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service.
