Obituary of Joyce M Ingraham
Joyce M. Ingraham, 84, of Deansboro, passed away July 9, 2026.
She was born in Utica on April 10, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Bennett) Steinmann. Joyce was united in marriage to John C. Ingraham on May 2, 1970. They shared many happy years together, full of love and devotion until John’s passing on February 2, 2017. After graduating from Utica School of Commerce, Joyce worked as a secretary, ending her career at KD Jones. She was a faithful member of Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was an ever-present volunteer, helping with luncheons and serving on many church committees and projects. She enjoyed quiet times reading and took great pride in her gardens.
She is survived by her nephew Chris (Sheree) Steinmann and his family, Kassidy Steinmann and Bradley Marris and Spencer Steinmann; her stepdaughter, Tina Kitchen; grandchildren, Robert, Steven, Tara and Desiree; her great-grandchildren, Amelia, Destiny and Diana. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Gail Blau and her family, many special friends and her church family who held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her husband John Ingraham; her parents; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Deborah Steinmann.
All are invited to funeral services at 10:30am on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Deansboro Congregation United Church of Christ. She will be laid to rest at Deansboro Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service.
