Obituary of Virginia R. Bochniak
Virginia R. Bochniak, 89, passed away April 25, 2026.
She was born in Bridgewater on June 30, 1936, and she was a daughter of Carmen and Mira (Belfield) Tilbe. Virginia was united in marriage to Stanley J. Bochniak on June 4, 1955. They shared 55 years of love and devotion until his passing on April 24, 2011. For many years Virginia worked at Colgate University, where she helped to keep the beautiful buildings in tip-top shape. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She took great pride in them and was always preparing special meals.
She will be missed by her children, Stanley and Wendy, Donald, Linda and Dan, Sharon and Rob, Christine and Doug, Janet and Bobby, Peter, Barbara, Paula and Ed, and a special bond with her son Gary; her 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren including a special relationship with Skylar; a great-great-grandchild and one on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; son David and an infant daughter Virginia; grandson Joseph; great-grandson Aidan; and her seven brothers and five sisters.
All are invited to attend calling hours from 5-7pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College ST., Clinton. Funeral services will follow at 7pm that evening at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Westmoreland Cemetery at 10am Friday.
