Dogs were her favorite animal. She was surrounded by dogs most of her life. Anytime she saw a dog she would always go over pet and hug them.
Marta had many interests. She enjoyed singing and writing. Marta sang in the First Presbyterian Church choir for many years. She joined a writing group when she lived at Sunset Wood Senior Living Facility which she thoroughly enjoyed. Cooking was another hobby she enjoyed. She enjoyed baking peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies with her closest friend, Elizabeth. She enjoyed spending times with family and friends. Ginny and Whitey Gross were among her favorite friends she enjoyed spending time with. Reading was another of Marta’s passions. She especially loved reading stories about dogs.
Her brother Michael lives in Virginia. His wife, Dianne recently passed away. Her nephew, Matt and his wife Megan and their children live in Virginia. Her other nephew, Christopher and his wife Jennifer live with their children in Vietnam.
Marta and family wish to thank Elizabeth Smith, the staff at Masonic Care Community, the staff of Sunset Wood, Daughter for Hire, and Kaela Amador for taking excellent care of Marta during her later years.
