Earl Glindmyer III

Obituary of Earl Arthur Glindmyer III

Earl Arthur Glindmyer III, 62, of Clinton, passed away December 19, 2025, at Wynn Hospital, surrounded by his four sons.

He was born on January 15, 1963, the son of Earl A. Glindmyer Jr. and Gloria Tubbs Glindmyer. He graduated from Clinton Central School and received his bachelor’s degree in history from Utica College.  Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army. He rose to the rank of Sergeant with the Army Rangers, a distinction he held with great pride.  He enjoyed coaching football, baseball and basketball for Clinton and Holland Patent Schools.  He was always there to coach and cheer on his sons.  Whether it was a round of golf or camping at his favorite spot at Lake George, he found peace and comfort being outdoors.

He will be missed by his wife, Cathy Jones-Glindmyer; sons, Zachary Earl and his wife Erin of Westchester County, Benjamin Earl, Patrick Earl and Brody Earl, all of Clinton; his three grandchildren, Valerie, Shane and Ja’dhear; step-children, Eddie and Alicia; his sister Tracey Wargo of Glens Falls; and his cousin Debbie Galinski of Clinton.  He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Pam and Lisa.

Please consider donations in Earl’s memory to St. Jude’s.

Private services will be held for his family.
