Obituary of Theresa Faye Cittadino

It is with the deepest sadness we share the passing of Theresa Faye Cittadino Tague on November 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 19, 1979 in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of Faye and Frank Cittadino of Clinton, New York.

Theresa was a graduate of Clinton Central School. As a high school soccer player, she was credited with the winning goal in double overtime, which allowed her team to advance to Regional Dome competition.

A very creative and gifted person, Theresa played the flute, was an accomplished singer, and a talented artist and crafter. These talents led her to receive various awards including the Supreme Gold Award in Japan International Art Competition, she was the only US student to be awarded with this honor.

Theresa also studied cybersecurity at Utica University before becoming nationally certified as an EMT. As an EMT, Theresa was dedicated to the responsibilities of a first responder and is credited with helping save the lives of numerous Central New Yorkers.

Her lifelong love of animals included the rescue of three newborn calves and raising them to adulthood. These now fully grown cows are beloved pets who would gallop to her when called. Theresa and her longtime companion, John rescued and raised many other animals on their Deansboro farm.

Theresa was a member of the Deansboro Fire Department where she served as President of their auxiliary and helped contribute to their many community and fundraising events. Due to her background in both EMT and firefighting Theresa was asked by NASCAR to serve as an EMT at a number of national NASCAR races.

Theresa is survived by her long time companion John Calenzo; daughter Anna; son Justin; stepsons Skylar and J.J.; loving parents Faye and Frank Cittadino; her sister Sara Cittadino; former spouse Jason Tague. She was predeceased by her children, Mason and Madelline Rose.
