Obituary of Michael W. Lynch

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Michael W. Lynch, 71, of Clinton, NY passed away on September 28, 2025. Born in Queens, NY on July 12, 1954, he was a son of Michael Lynch and Janet Epple Lynch. Following graduation from high school Michael attended college, he was later employed by Transwestern Publishing “Yellow Pages” where he became a manager and was a beloved employee for many years.

Michael was united in marriage to Debra Ventura on May 18, 1991, together they shared a beautiful life full of adventure. Michael had three children, Sara, the oldest, Michael, and Kelli the youngest; his children were the center of his world.  He enjoyed spending time with his family especially being active in his children’s sports. He was also very proud of his grandchildren and cherished time spent with them.

Michael was always the life of the party, he knew how to make others laugh and how to enjoy a good time. He loved spending time outdoors, especially camping; his favorite place to spend time was his camp in Eagle Bay where he enjoyed many campfires and good conversations. He enjoyed watching the miles roll by from his motorcycle, whether it was a long day on the bike or just a quick ride, he found joy each time he was able to get out for a ride. Michael could often be found on the golf course perfecting his swing and enjoying the many challenges of golf. He was also a gifted hockey player and coached the local girl’s hockey team which was a mixture of many local players from the surrounding area; he was able to coach both his oldest and youngest daughters for several years. The teams he coached always made it to States, and many of the girls continued their hockey careers at prep school and college. His guidance as a coach has shaped many of the girls he coached into the successful people that they are today.

Michael is survived by his wife Debra Ventura Lynch; his daughters Sara (Eric) Froimovitz and Kelli Sara Lynch (Patrick Boyd); his son Michael Shea Lynch; sister Cathy (Richard) Stubbs; grandchildren Zoe and Carter Froimovitz; nieces Jessica and Erica Matthews; nephews Jess and Grey Kupiec. He was predeceased by his sister Joneen Matthews.
