Obituary of Helen M. Kruk

Helen M. Kruk formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 101.

She was born in Ellenburg, NY on April 18, 1924, the daughter of Peter and Cora (Trombley) LaClair.  Helen was united in marriage to Theodore N. Kruk in 1955. They raised their family in Clinton and shared a union of love and friendship for over 60 years.  After high school, Helen was proud to have worked at GE during World War II.  She was a waitress at Frank and Eddie’s, The Golden Teapot and Nofri’s for many years. Her favorite work was as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family first. As her grandchildren grew up, there wasn’t a game or event that she missed. Nothing brought her more joy than her 8 grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Valerie Cote of South Glens Falls; her son and daughter-in-law, Theodore J and Kathleen Kruk of Clifton Park; six grandchildren, Joshua Cote,  Lindsey Barton (Nick), TJ, Kirsten, Alex, and Braden Kruk and two great grandchildren Kennedy and Parker Barton along with many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband and best friend, Ted.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at The Terrace at The Glen at Hiland Meadows in Queensbury, the staff at The Glens Falls Hospital and the staff at Gateway House of Peace in Ballston Spa for the wonderful care they provided. Rest in peace Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma… you are already missed so much. We love you.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 26th from 10AM until 11AM at The Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church at 11am. She will be interred at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Utica. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton.
