Enjoyed many many years of lifting with Mike at American Fitness, lifting at Beigel House, lifting Solid Gold Gym, and Mike even came down here frequently to Schenectady to share my homemade crispy Pizza and lifting at Best Fitness.
Cannot think about training hard, without thinking of Mike.
But we shared more than just lifting. Shared many fun vacations in Florida , and movie nights and holidays.
Mike will be sorely and often missed.

I am, admittedly, not great at expressing my emotions. The news of Mike passing struck me to my core. Mike, Beigs, Phil and I spent countless hours growing up, working out (in the Beigel's garage), laughing, canoeing, and generally enjoying the best youthful lives that exist. I last saw Mike at Phil's house (painting) on my Thanksgiving Holiday. Just one more reason it is my favorite holiday! Flex on Mike, Flex on :) Those who know, will know :) You will be dearly missed.

Who could not be grieving over the loss of this wonderful man. He was a constant part of our home in his younger years seeking shared fitness, helpfulness, fun and laughter. Our lives were enhanced so much by his presence. The world should take pause to honor such a person as Mike Snyder.

I never left a conversation with Mike, or about Mike, without a smile on my face and a lighter heart. The world has lost a kind and funny soul…and a great painter!

Karen / Ken / Kayleigh / Krista, Lee & Jeff, Rob - it is always hard to know what to do when you're far away. You all are very much in my thoughts. Mike was a great energy; I really enjoyed him even if he was a man of few words. He was a doer and a helper, and that is how I will remember him. In this season of grief, I send kindness and wishes for peace in your mind and heart. Jason

Mike was a wonderful friend since childhood. He was so sweet and fun to be around. I’m sure I speak for the entire class of 1986 when I say he will be very missed. Rest easy my friend.

Mike was a member of our family; he was like a second son and a brother to Jim and Anne. I’ve known him since he was 12 years old and he was a good friend of my son’s in grade school. He will be missed so much by all of us. The world was a better place with Mike in it. He was so kind, thoughtful, and funny- always willing to lend a hand or be supportive. I can think of many times when he would come over to help me get my feisty feral cat in the cage to go to the vet or fix my stuck window.
I never was concerned about my cats when I was away. He was completely reliable and always made sure that they were well taken care of. He would even stay to play with them so they would not be lonely. One time, when I was in Colorado for a family wedding, one of my cats died suddenly. He took care of everything for me because he loved my cat Abigail too. He was truly a “cat whisperer” and could give my cats pills and injections without a problem! He loved all animals so much, but he was really fond of cats. We often entertained each other by sending funny cat videos to each other.
He was truly a craftsman too, taking pride in his cutting in without using tape or getting paint anywhere it didn’t belong. I relied on him to help me with color choices and knew every job he did would be done meticulously. He was so trustworthy that I never thought twice about his painting in my home when I wasn’t there.
My heart goes out to his family. The loss of someone so quiet, kind, humble, loving, and supportive must leave such an empty space for everyone, not just our family. Mike and his entire family are in my prayers.
