Obituary of Sandra Barker Stone

Sandra Barker Stone
March 13, 1944 – May 18, 2025

Sandra “Sandi” Barker Stone, born and raised in Deansboro, NY, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. She was the daughter of the late J. Oren and Laverna (Smith) Barker and was predeceased by her beloved husband Bob Stone, and sister Joan Benedict. Sandi is survived by her sister Carol Koren, brother John Barker, and her kitty “Tippi” as well as, many loving nieces and nephews who will remember her kindness, independence, and quick wit.

She worked for many years at the Utica National Distribution Center, where she was a dedicated clerk in the Archive Department since 1987. Known for her youthful spirit, petite stature, and meticulous nature, Sandi was admired by coworkers and friends alike.

Sandi had a passion for cats, weekend craft fairs, eating out with friends, and the thrill of a good garage sale. Her love for the simple joys in life brought light to those around her.
