Obituary of Mary Louise Brown

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mary Louise Brown on April 5, 2025. Mary was born in Upstate New York on April 21, 1956, at Sunset Nursing and Maternity Hospital to Roy and Jennie Smith.

Mary was a hardworking, loving, and strong mother and grandmother. She was outgoing, honest, and had a wonderful sense of humor, often bringing laughter to her family with her candid "honest truths." Above all, she was immensely proud of her son's career success and his dedication to his family, as well as her daughter's resilience in never allowing life’s challenges to keep her down.

Mary is survived by her son, Chad (Lacey) Stefanovich, and their children Greyson, Grandon, and Grant; her daughter, Missy (James) Riggins, and their children Michael, Amber, Jacob, Caiden, and Nathan. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren McKenna, Bentleigh, Kinsey, and Oliver, as well as her significant other, Robert Wells. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jennie, as well as her grandchild, Dakota, and great-grandchild, Marleigh.

In lieu of public funeral services, the family will honor her memory in a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
