Obituary of Anthony Francis Romano

Anthony Francis Romano Sr.

   Anthony F. Romano 91, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the Holy Family Hospice Facility of Parma, Ohio. He was born on November 4, 1933, in Martins Creek, P.A. a son of the late Anthony and Edith Perin Romano. Anthony was a graduate of Hamilton College, following graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country.  On September 20, 1958, Anthony was united in marriage to Joan Mary Gualtieri in a ceremony which took place in Clinton, N.Y. Anthony was employed by Cities Service of Akron, Ohio, prior to his retirement.

   He is survived by his beloved children, Anne Valentine Romano McDonnell (Frank), Mary Perin Romano Lasell (Chet) and Anthony Francis Romano (Debra); a sister, Kitty (Alceo) Calzetti; two grandchildren, Perin Alise Romano and Chester Lasell.

   A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, Marvin Street Clinton. Interment will take place in the spring in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
