A memory from 56 years ago with Dick.
Dick and I were snaking our way through the curves on route 315 between Deansboro and Waterville. Dick was on his Triumph 650 Bonnie I was on my Triumph 650 Tbird, as we looked behind us and a car was coming on fast! What to do? Try to out run him or stop and wait? …. we’ll this is what Dickie and I did… We hit it, got through the second curve and took a hard left over the bridge up to the top of the hill just in time to watch the Trooper go flying by! Dodged that bullet we thought. As we went back down to the bottom of the hill, guess who met us, yep the flying Trooper. Trooper asked Boyz which one of these bikes is the fastest? I pointed to Dicks Bonnie, Dick pointed to my Tbird. Boyz you need to slow down! Thinking we about to get tickets galore, the Trooper just said Boyz slow down and have a nice day! Thanks to that kind Trooper we did dodge that bullet!
So that’s what Dickie did in that situation. That experience really endeared me to Duck. I will never forget that one!

Dick, I am going to miss you witty jokes. You always put a smile on my face. You always knew how to liven things up at a gathering or even just at your house. You were a terrific brother in law. Your pain and suffering is all behind you now. Enjoy your time with your mom and dad. You have a lot of catching up to do. Watch over all of us as we are really going to miss you. Rest In Peace. Love You Mary Jane
