Obituary of Evelyn Mae Hoyt
Evelyn Mae Hoyt, 99, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home.
She was born in Oppenheim on December 17, 1918, a daughter of the late Clarence and Lena (Hass) Brown, and graduated from Dolgeville Schools. On June 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to Francis J. Hoyt. The couple shared many happy years together until Frank’s death on November 13, 1976. She lived in Westbury, NY on Long Island for 35 years before moving to Clark Mills.
She is survived by her three sons, a daughter and their spouses, Francis “Frank” Hoyt of SC, Barbara and William Hassis of Whitesboro, Gary Hoyt of Vernon and his fiancé Jacquelyn Getz and Keith and Julia Hoyt of Clinton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jaclyn and Jason Fahey, Kelly Hoyt, Francis and Jennifer Hoyt and Jennifer and Michael Perry; six grandchildren, Raelynn and Ryder Hoyt, Zachary Perry, Hannah Miller, Joseph Hoyt and Elizabeth Fahey; a brother Stanley Brown of FL; and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and brothers and sisters, Carl Brown, Clarence Brown, Madeline Lane, Madge Greene, William Brown.
Private services will be held for the family with burial in Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY.
