Obituary of Mary "Pat" Margaret Smith

Pat Smith (legally Mary M.), died on August 22, 2018 at Lutheran Care.

She was born in Rochester, NY on July 31, 1935.  She was predeceased by her parents, Lois and Harold Russell and by her husband, Thomas W. Smith from Elmira, NY, who died in 1988.

Survivors are two sons, Scott Smith from Huntsville, Al and Leigh Smith from Knox, IN; a daughter, Sherri Smith from Knoxboro, NY; a brother, David Russell; three grandchildren, Katrina Smith, David & Brandi Smith and Iven & Aubrey Smith; and five great-grandchildren.

Pat lived in Clinton for 55 years and was active in the Clinton United Methodist Church, Schooltown Questers, PEO Sisterhood, Clinton Historical Society and Good Bears of the World.  She worked at Hamilton College for twelve years and was a loyal supporter of the Hamilton College Basketball Team.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Clinton United Methodist Church.  A luncheon will follow.  Donations may be considered to the Clinton United Methodist Church or the PEO Sisterhood, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312-2899 peointernational.org
