Kimberly Champney Thompson, 55, of Taberg, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Kimberly was born on May 2, 1966, in Oneida, NY to Ronald Champney and the late Judith (Urtz) Champney. She graduated from Westmoreland High School in 1985, then she went on to enlist in the U.S. Navy (Seabees) and proudly served her country from 1988 -1994. She enjoyed woodworking and putting together puzzles, the harder the better. She loved her family very much. She was super proud of all her nieces and nephews. She worked at Sears Hardware for many years and most recently at Leonard Bus Sales. She had also been a home health aide, she truly enjoyed that career. Kimberly leaves behind her significant other of over 18 years, Denise Magee; her father and stepmother, Ronald and Mary Champney; siblings, Rhonda and Albert Twiss, Tami and Daniel Aylesworth, Paul “Butch” and Barbara Champney, Beverley Champney; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Torey Rutledge; her grandchildren, Destiny O’Neil, Cameron O’Neil, Makena Rutledge; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Judith Champney. All are invited to call from 3pm-6pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, 35 College St., Clinton.
