Lloyd Storey, Jr. “JR”, was a man of many talents and gifts. He extended his gift of loving and giving to anyone he met who was in need or just ready to have a fun time. Whatever you wanted, he wanted it for you! He was so blessed to know the love of his family and friends while he was here and on his way to his home away from here. We are so thankful for the prayers and love from so many of our friends and family. JR wanted God’s will, not his own and guess what? “God wins!” He’s home now on this sunny March 15th day. He was “My Tomato” and “Knight in Shining Armour” and I am and always will be his “Bunny Baby!” JR rarely sat idle. He was a farmer his entire life, starting with the family dairy farm and continuing to his extensive vegetable garden at home. JR was an excellent cook! He fed everyone – family, neighbors, and friends he made along the way. After retiring from Oneida County Airport, where he was the Supervisor of Runway Maintenance, he began his all-time favorite career as a bus driver with Westmoreland Central School. JR was young-at-heart, so maybe that is why he loved spending time with the kids on the bus and at school. He was also Bunny’s partner in their Tupperware distributorship. He will be missed by his devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Bunny; his three children and son-in-law, Jeffrey Storey, Laura and Phil Martini, and Timothy Storey; his eight cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey and Emma Storey, Dan, Matt and Sarah Martini, and Isabelle and Xavier Storey; and his two sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Mike Deveans and Jeanette Storey. He would want to remind everyone to share their love with family and friends with each new day that comes!
