Carol A. Moore Stockbridge, 85, of Tower Street, and formerly of Creaser Road, Westmoreland, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was born in Clinton, NY on December 18, 1930, daughter of the late Fordyce and Ethel Chesebro Moore. She attended Clinton Central Schools and married Harold Stockbridge in Clinton in 1948. Mr. Stockbridge passed away January 15, 1997. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Wanda Stockbridge of Florida; three daughters, Linda Thieme of Westmoreland, Terry Swald of Clark Mills and Sherry Stockbridge of Utica who was raised as a daughter; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother Arleigh and Jean Moore of Virginia; a sister Edith Waterman of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece Sherry Newell with whom she resided. She was predeceased by her husband, her daughter Gail Nicholas, and a granddaughter Carla Nicholas. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Kirkland Cemetery in Clinton. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc.
