Dorothy Waterman, 85, of Knoxboro Rd, passed away at home on July 26, 2016. She was born April 3, 1931 to Clayton and Martha Jane (Kitchen) Peters. In 1971 she was united in marriage to Richard E. Waterman until his passing in 2002. Dorothy always kept busy – she operated her own poultry and egg business for 20 years, ran a fruit stand in Madison and she also owned and operated C.O.D. Fuel Service for 20 years. She enjoyed bowling with WIBC, playing Bingo and playing cards with family and friends. She is survived by her son JH Waterman of Oriskany Falls; two brothers, three sisters and their spouses, William C. Peters of Oriskany Falls, Lois and Philip Fairchild of New Berlin, Mary Jane Turner of Madison, Laura and Sidney Fuess of Madison, and Thomas Peters and fiancé Rosie Ingalls of Vernon Center; sister-in-law Eleanor Hyrino of Utica; step son Earl Waterman of Ilion; and many beloved nieces and nephews who remember all the fun times spent with their Aunt Dorothy. All are invited to call Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 2-3pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton with the funeral service to follow at 3pm. Private burial will be held for the family at Crown Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice & Palliative Care or a charity of your choice.
