Jean Bogacz, 88, of Stop Seven Road, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born August 13, 1927 at home in Clark Mills to John and Flora (Ingersoll) Haggas. Jean graduated from Westmoreland Central School with the Class of 1945. On August 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to Theodore Bogacz, a blessed union of 57 years until his death in 2004. Jean had worked at General Electric for several years before becoming a mother, after which she devoted her time to raising her family. She then worked at Marcy Psychiatric Center, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed her bowling league, camping and time with her family and friends. She looked forward to her trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach and her summers spent at Henderson Harbor. She is survived by her son, Bill and wife Barbara Bogacz of Hannibal; her daughter Lisa Lashen of Clark Mills; daughter-in-law Sharon Bogacz of New Hartford; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law John and Cathy Haggas of Washington Mills; and many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore, her son Terry, two sisters, a brother and her "Happy Hour Friend" Diane Tasior. All are invited to memorial calling hours Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday at Kirkland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to COCVAC, PO Box 399, Clark Mills, NY 13321.
